Financial assets of state-owned commercial banks in China account for more tha half of the total assets of domestic banks, and operational development of such commercial banks have direct impacts upon overall economic growth. In order to maintain a mometum of development in highly risky finance, it is imperative for state-owned commercial banks to establish proactive and effective schemes for risk management, aimprove operational risk monitoring systems and create scientific risk mangement systems. By taking into account types, characteristics and causes of operational risks with commercial banks in China and analyzing the risks caused by deficient management, this Article outlines methods of effective management to avoid any risk in operation of commercial banks.
