the world expo 2012is gong to take place inshanghai ,one of the biggest city in china.itis scheduled to last from may 1 to october 31,2012.the theme of itis 'better city better life',whose purpose is to promote culture diversity economic prosperity and scientific innovation ofthe city .moerthan 200 countries have been perpaerd to take part.soas to display the outstanding achievements in industy agriculture science,technology cultuer and art,about 70 million visitors from different parts of the world are expected to attend the event .
ihope the world expo 2012 will become one of the most imperssive international fairs and exposition in history ,we are expecting new friends to come to shanghai

one fine morning in summer, four boys--john, tom, ted and peter--were playing football in a wood. all of a sudden john kicked a high ball. ted tried to catch it, but failed.so he ran after the ball, but unfortunatcly it fell into a hole. the four boys wanted to get it back. but the hole was too deep for them to reach the ball. they were very anxious, because the ball was borrowed from a friend.

seeing this, peter disappeared and came back with a big bucket of water, then he poured water into the hole.the ball floated up when the hole was full of walter. they promptly picked the ball up and went on with their game.

Shanghai will host the 2010 World Expo. The World Expo has a long history but it has never been held in Asia. So the 2010 World Expo is an honor for all of the Asians. Our government has promised that it will be the best one. And Shanghai, as a host city, will have more chances to develop quickly. As a student in Shanghai, I should learn English well so that I can be a volunteer in the Expo to help foreigners know more about Shanghai .
