我觉得这句话是有语病的

应该是“现代化文明社会依赖于现代化物质文明”，但好象这句话是反过来，说现代化物质文明依赖于现代化文明社会，物质文明是下层建筑，文明社会是上层建筑，另外主句没有谓语，be不是谓语，谓语要有适当的变形。

可能改为如下比较好：

If not having had the sources of energy, all modern material civilization (would) also be that up to disappear, depended up by the modern civilized society.
