This paper discribes the characteristics and the businesses of the commercial banks, examines the profitabilities of the domestic commercial banks in China through the comparison between the profitability indicators of those domestic commercial banks in the first half of 2010. Some famous revenue models from international commercial banks were also introduced in this paper.

最后根据我国银行业各大业务的发展情况提出相应的、更有利于提高其获利能力的业务多元化、金融创新、大力发展中间业务等对策与建议。
Finally, relative countermeasures and suggestions such as business diversification, financial innovation and the development of intermediary Services were proposed for enhancing the profitabilities based on the developing situation of our banking industry.

Analysis on the profitability of domestic listed commercial banks

Commmercial banks have the feature of ordinary enterprise.They all take profit as their aims.Therefore,the profitability is the key to the listed commecial banks' survival and development. According to the description of commercial banks' qualities and business,this article compared our domestic commercial banks' profitability index listed in the first half of the year,analyzed their profitability,introduced the profit-making modes of those world-famouse commercial banks,and finnally brought out the countermeasures and suggestions such as diversifying their business,bringing forth new ideas in finance,developping intermedia business energetically, which help improve their profitability,based on the status of their main services.
