班组是产品的直接生产单位，班组生产质量的好坏会直接影响到班组的竞争能力和公司经济效益。班组又是班组产品质量的直接监控者，如果班组在生产工作方面开展的不好，就会直接导致产品质量的优劣。因此，作为班组长必须要控制住产品质量的优劣问题，绝不能因质量上的问题造成班组的损失。因为，班组产品的质量，是能够保证班组在日益激烈的市场竞争赢得一席之地的有利武器。但我国当前大部分企业，特别是国有企业，还没有充分认识到质量管理的重要作用，也还没有建立起完整的、科学的质量管理系统。
本文针对质量管理的现状进行了分析与研究，指出质量管理中存在的问题，进而提出改进措施。就现形势下一些企业而言，虽然公司有相应的质量管理战略，也围绕质量目标建立了一套考核，但质量管理体系的建设同我国大部分企业一样，仍处于初级阶段。通过深入分析，本文认为当前质量管理体系中的问题主要集中在几个方面：没有充分认识到质量管理与质量检查的区别，认为质量管理只是公司质检部门的事情；质量管理过于简单。为此，结合现代质量管理相关理论以及现形势下公司的实际情况，针对分析的问题提出了对策建议，包括：企业必须树立科学的质量意识，因为组织、管理者、员工都需要科学的质量管理；企业必须运用科学的质量考核方法，因为质量考核是一项集理论性与实践性相结合的复杂工作；在上述基础上，企业还必须针对组织的情况，建立符合实际的科学的质量管理体系。
最后，针对如何保障质量管理过程的顺利实施，本文分析、论述了实施过程中的推动和阻碍因素，以及我国企业经营质量评价体系的局限性和经营质量评价体系实施问题诱因，从而能够确保在实施过程中有效避免这些问题的发生，从而取得预想的效果 。
