One day Mrs Green took several pairs of shoes to be repaired. After a few days picked them up and put them away.
Six months later, She and her husband were asked to dinner. She took a pair of shoes. She hadn’t worncoorn them since they were repaired. She put one on her right foot, and then she put the other on her left. She felt domething wrong. She took them off for a closer look. They were the same style, colours and sizes, but each was for the right foot. Then she thought of the shoemaker. Though she was sure he wonldn’t remember her after such a long time. She called him.
“Thank good ness, you finally called.” He said excitedly.
“ An angry woman has been troubling me for months!”

一天，格林太太把几双需要修补的鞋子拿去修理。几天后取回来就放置好了。半年后，她和她丈夫应邀去吃饭。她把鞋找了出来，自从修补后她一直没有穿过。她把一只鞋穿上右脚，又把另一只套到左脚上。她感觉不对劲，脱下来拿近一看，两只鞋子款式，颜色和号码都一样，但都是右脚的。她就想到了鞋匠。虽然她觉得过了这么长时间了，鞋匠肯定不会记得她了，她还是打了个电话。接到电话，鞋匠兴奋地说，“谢天谢地，您终于来电话了！那个生气的女人几个月来一直在找我麻烦！”

六个月后，她和她的先生被邀请去参加晚宴，她拿出一双鞋，从修鞋的地方拿回来后她就没检查过，她拿出一只穿在右脚上，又拿出另外一只穿在左脚上，她感觉到不对劲，靠近一看，才发现，这两只鞋是同样的款式，同样的颜色，同样的大小，但都是右脚，于是她想起了修鞋匠，虽然她肯定那个修鞋的不记得她了，但是她还是给他打了个电话。
“谢天谢地，你终于打给我了”
“有个生气的太太找了我好几个月的麻烦”
