This paper first gives a brief summary of the development history of the Internet of Things. And according to the current international situation, the paper also illustrates the causes of the its emergence and development, the contemporary development as well as the problems occurred and the research direction. Then the comprehensive anatomy/analysis of the concept of the Internet of Things is achieved /realized by the definition, the international standard and the system architecture of the Internet of Things as well as the systematically summary of the main technology involved. Finally the key techniques of the Internet of Things are mainly introduced and they mainly include (the following): RFID of the objects marking/identification, the technique for a Wireless Sensor Network relying on the communication mode of ZigBe, the Core Bearer Network (advanced Radio Communication Technique and the Internet Technology of the next generation )required for the data transmission and the Cloud Computing of the date processing and service and so on.
