On May 12th, a powerful earthquake took place in southwest China. It almost destroyed Sichuan.

More than six thousand people lost their lives. As a middle student in Beijing, I have done lots of things for it.

First, I raised some money for them. I believe a hundred yuan is nothing, but millions of hundred means much. Meanwhile, I gave away some books that I didn’t read. I think these can make their live more colorful. Also, I made some cards with encouraging words. I hope those can cheer them up.

We all know that disasters have no emotions, but we humans do. I believe unity is strength.. Let’s make an effort to contribute our love to the victims and help them rebuild their hometown.

在5月12日，一个强大的地震发生在中国西南地区。它几乎摧毁了四川。

超过6000人失去了生命。作为一个北京的中学生，我已经为这件事做了很多。

首先，我自动捐出一些钱给他们。我相信一百元不算什么，但以百万计的一百意味着很多。同时，我捐了一些我不再阅读的书籍。我觉得这些可以使他们的生活更加丰富多彩。此外，我制作了一些卡片并在上面写上鼓励的话。我希望这些可以使他们振作起来起来。

我们都知道，灾害无情，但我们人类却是有情的。我相信团结就是力量..让我们作出努力，贡献我们的爱给受难者，帮助他们重建他们的家乡。
