How to Overcome Difficulties in My English Studies
Learning English is quite a tough job for me. I have always got low marks in English exams. That makes me feel very sad.
First, I just can not remember the words. As is known to all that words are the basis for a language. If you don't even know the words, you will not know the language, either. The words are so complicated for me. The combination of letters makes me dizzy.
Second, I don't know how to read the words. I can follow and learn from the tapes and teachers, but it seems so easy for the pronunciation to slip out from my memory.
What's more, grammar is too difficult to me, because I have to learn all the plots by heart which I simply can't achieve.
According to my difficulties, my English teacher taught me how to overcome them. I shouldn't rote the words, instead I shall learn the words through the context. Knowing how to use the words is far more important than knowing the words themselves. Read more English materials to form the sense of language, because that will help remember both the words and the grammar. Pronunciation has its own rules that I should try to find out. Once I have known it, it will be easy to figure out how to pronounce a word.
In a word, learning English is not an easy job for anyone. As long as you have the confidence and put it into practice, you will learn it well.
