Distinguished guests. Ladies and Gentlemen. Welcome here today! I am glad to be here to present a speech to you about my experience on a specail ceremonial event, the Coming-of-Age Day in Japan.
【是什么事件,发生在何处】The second Monday of January is Coming-of-Age Day in Japan, a national holiday to encourage those who have newly entered adulthood to become self-reliant members of society. The holiday used to be on January 15, but in 2000 it was moved to the second Monday of the month.
【是否是个经常发生或者是一次性事件】Coming-of-age ceremonies have been held since time immemorial in Japan. 【文章重点】During the time i have spent on Coming-of-Age Day in Japan, I have eyewitnessed the glory carnival of crowds of youngsters wearing traditional suits. During those days, males generally wear suits to their coming-of-age ceremony, but a lot of females choose to wear traditional furisode(振袖,状似和服的长袖)--a special type of kimono(和服)for unmarried women with extra-long sleeves and elaborate designs. For unmarried women, furisode is about the most formal thing they can wear, and so many of them don it to the event marking the start of their adult life.
【感受,仪式的特殊】I am much conerned with the meaning of Coming-of-Age Day to juveniles. Since an "adult" in Japan is legally defined as one who is 20 or over, municipal governments host special coming-of-age ceremonies for 20-year-olds . I felt very proud of being an adult. And I think the Japanese youngsters will also feel vey proud on that Day, as they gain the right to vote on their twentieth birthday, and they're also allowed to smoke and drink. But along with these rights come new responsibilities as well, and so age 20 is a big turning point for the Japanese.

Distinguished guests. Ladies and Gentlemen. Welcome here today! I am glad to be here to present a speech to you about my experience on a specail ceremonial event, a holy wedding ceremony.
I have attended the wedding ceremony of one of my colleagues . We are good freinds. The groom is my freind, and the bride is beautiful. Every time, when I watch the CD of my freinds' wedding ceremony, I feel very excited and I will be moved every time. I think the wedding ceremony is the most exciting moment.
Imagine my wedding ceremony. I will be crying at my wedding ceremony at the sight of my parents. In my opinion, the wedding ceremony is not only a ceremony for two one in love, but also a ceremony for bride and groom to show their gratitude to their parents. After the ceremony, the bride will leave her parents and she will have another new family--only her and her husband. After the ceremony, the groom will build a new family for him and her bride, and he will take the responsibility of a husband to look after her bride and realize his promise: live her a good life.
The ceremony is very holy thing. Every time I attend a wedding ceremony, I am moved and my eyes will be filled with tears. Hope every bride and groom will live a good life, and share bitter and honey things together. Wish each couple of lovers be happy.

Hello!Ladies and Jentlemen,
I am happy to stand here to have a speech, the topic of my speech is “smile”,I hope you will like it.
The poor are very wonderful people. One evening we went out and we picked up four people from the street. And one of them was in a most terrible condition,and I told the sisters: You take care of the other three. I take care of this one who looked worse. So I did for her all that my love can do. I put her in bed, and there was such a beautiful smile on her face. She took hold of my hand as she said just the words “thank you” and she died. I could not help but examine my conscience[良心]before her and I asked what would I say if I was in her place.
And my answer was very simple. I would have tried to draw a little attention to myself. I would have said I am hungry, that I am dying, I am cold, I am in pain, or something, but she gave me much more-she gave me her grateful love. And she died with a smile on her face.
As did that man whom we picked up from the drain[阴沟、下水道], half eaten with worms, and we brought him to the home. “I have lived like an animal in the street, but I am going to die like an angel, loved and cared for.” And it was so wonderful to see the greatness of that man who could speak like that, who could die like that without blaming anybody, without cursing anybody, without comparing anything. Like an angel-this is the greatness of our people. And that is why we believe what Jesus had said: I was hungry, I was naked, I was homeless, I was unwanted, unloved, uncared for, and you did it to me.
I believe that we are not real social workers. We may be doing social work in the eyes of the people, but we are really contemplatives[修行者、沉思冥想的人] in the heart of the world. For we are touching the body of Christ twenty-four hours…… And I think that in our family we don‘t need bombs and guns, to destroy, to bring peace, just get together, love one another, bring that peace, that joy, that strength of presence of each other in the home. And we will be able to overcome all the evil that is in the world.
And with this prize that I have received as a Prize of Peace, I am going to try to make the home for many people who have no home. Because I believe that love begins at home, and if we can create a home for the poor I think that more and more love will spread. And we will be able through this understanding love to bring peace be the good news to the poor. The poor in our own family first, in our country and in the world.
This is my speech.Thank you for attention.

When you are old
When you are old and grey and full of sleep,
And nodding by the fire, take down this book,
And slowly read, and dream of the soft look
Your eyes had once, and of their shadows deep;
How many loved your moments of glad grace,
And loved your beauty with love false or true,
But one man loved the pilgrim Soul in you,
And loved the sorrows of your changing face;
And bending down beside the glowing bars,
Murmur, a little sadly, how Love fled
And paced upon the mountains overhead
And hid his face amid a crowd of stars.
When you are old and grey and full of sleep,
And nodding by the fire, take down this book,
And slowly read, and dream of the soft look
Your eyes had once, and of their shadows deep;
