第一题：你理解错题目意思了 Much to my surprise, he ___must___ have entered the building without being noticed by the security guards. 【令我感到意外的是他一定是在保安不注意的情况下进入了大楼】 该句是完成时，表示对过去发生的事情的肯定推测，所以用must ，如果是否定推测则用can't
第二题（26）：老板年纪越来越大，所以决定下台让他的小儿子接替他的位子。succeed表示接替、继承，其他选项没这种意思(楼上理解错了）
pick on sb. 表示对某人挑剔 题目意思是一个很喜欢挑剔别人的人是很相处的
第三题（32）：句中表示的是一般现在时，所以应该保持时态一致，用is engaged
第四题（34）：此题应该选择A。at hand 从意思上看at hand 和is coming 都表示即将到来，但是从语法和句子结构上看，只能选择at hand ，一个句子中只能有一个谓语动词，如果用is coming 则句子中就会出现两个谓语动词，所以不符合，但是is coming改为being coming 也符合题目意思
第五题（36）：题意理解错误，该题的意思是“他不想见任何人，所以他把自己关在屋子里，度过了6个小时。” 如果按你的选择用locking的话，那题目意思就变为“他不想件任何人，所以他花了6个小时把自己关在屋子里。”
第六题：这里的回答不强调完成时，只是表示一种状态
第七题（40）：省略句with his head having been held high
第八题：cover the cost 表示负担....的开销、价格
