依贫民之见，qualification是你拥有去做某种工作的资质，一个必须条件，没有它你就做不了某事；而certificate是一个类似结业证书，它是对你过去所学习的一个证明； 例如，如果你仅有certificate，而没有达到我们要求的年龄，性别，高度，体重等的qualification，那也无法qualified；
任一个特性的缺少可以说你没有qualification。总之，qualification 可以范围可以很广。
