Besides Chinese, English is the most common language in the world. English is the mother tongue and everyday language of 600 million people. 

As a ratio, English speakers far outnumber Spanish and French speakers combined. There are at least 50 countries in the world where English is the official language. 

English is the common language of diplomacy, business, science, law, technology, finance, computer, medicine, aviation, United Nations, that is to say, the only common language in the world. Studies have shown that people with strong English skills have higher career mobility and higher wages.

Learing English is not for passing the exam, not for making your parents feel satisfied. It a good chance to see a better place and know about many cultural things. English is a useful tool when you decide to travel aroud the world and you can enjoy many books written by English some songs singing by English, it help you open another world you will never know until you leran it.
