南京中科集团股份有限公司成立于1985年，目前是国内保健食品行业研发能力最强的企业，自主研发获得卫生部及药监局批准的保健食品证书53件，另外还有通过审评待批2件，是自主研发批文数量最多的企业。在药品研发方面，目前具有新药证书2个，自主知识产权新药临床批件2个，正在进行二期和三期临床研究。目前共有专利81项，其中发明专利30项，并有一项为PCT国际发明专利。共出版专著三本，另有一本在编。已在核心期刊发表论文20篇，其中在国外期刊发表2篇。中科商标为江苏省著名商标。
中科热心公益慈善事业，兴建了中科金牛湖希望小学，多次荣获光彩事业之星称号，系当地重点税源企业，中科集团王连安董事长兼任玄武区政协副主席、江苏省政协委员、玄武区慈善协会副会长。
中科入选2010上海世博会企业联合馆。

南京中科药业有限公司系南京中科集团股份有限公司全资子公司，成立于2005年，占地40亩，建筑面积10000M2，拥有3个通过GMP审核的生产车间，胶囊、粉剂等固体制剂和软胶囊生产线，并通过ISO9001、ISO14001、OHSMS18001一体化体系认证。
