Wang Lanlan, who has been in Tianjin for two years, is keeping a pet cat as her only friend. Before two years, she came here and found a job and several months later, she had already saved enough money to buy it from a pet shop. As a girl who loves small animals, she has realized her dream although she still hasn't got a lot of money until now and thus can't provide it with good living conditions.
Now her cat is still living with her in the house she rents and she has made a small but fine "house" for it with a cardboard box. She also prepares its meals by herself every night for it to eat on the next day. Even one of the sports shoes she no longers wears has been found out by her and taken as its "meal bowl." Despite all of these, she spends every day happily with it.
