in home还是at home?
in my (or his, their, etc) home 和 at my (or his, their, etc) home 的区别在根本上还是 in 和 at 的区别。in 意谓“在……里面”，相对而言更突出“里面”的意思，而 at 仅仅是“在”，并不突出“在里面”，甚至可以“在周边”。如：
As a result of the growing fears about home security, more people are arranging for someone to stay in their home when they're away.（因为越来越担心住宅安全，更多的人在出门的时候会在家中留人。）
His possession of classified documents in his home was, at the very least, a violation of Navy security regulations.（他把机密文件藏在家中，至少是违反了海军安全条例。）
The police found a quantity of drugs at his home.（警察在他家发现了大量毒品。）
He was putting up a new fence at his home.（他正在为自己家搭建新的篱笆墙。）
至于 at my (or his, their, etc) home 与 at home 的区别，就像 in the hospital(在医院里) 和 in hospital(住院) 一样， 前者仅仅是一个地点的概念，而后者还有“未离家外出”“休息在家”等含义，可以看作与 away from home 或 at work 相对的一种状态。如：
The man was arrested at his home after a tip-off to police from a member of the public.（在一名群众向警方举报以后，那人就在家里被逮捕了。）
World famous physicist Stephen Hawking died peacefully at his home in Cambridge on March 14th, 2018.（2018年3月14日，世界著名物理学家斯蒂芬·霍金在剑桥的家中安详去世。）
If anyone calls, tell them I'm not at home.（要是有人打电话来，就说我不在家。）
Police are advising people to stay at home.（警方告诫民众呆在家里。）
I was looking forward to a quiet evening at home.（我盼着在家过个恬静的夜晚。）
