Dear Sir,
I am writing to give my apologies to you for having skipped last Thursday's class.
Last Thursday was a bad day to me. When I got up that morning, I found that I was not quite myself. My mother sent me to the hospital and had me examined. Surprisingly, I was sick due to the over exercise the night before. The doctor gave me some pills. Now, I am much better.
I know it is my fault to to have missed one of your classes. However, given all my sufferings, I truly hope you can forgive me. I will work hard to make up for the missed class.
