2、用法不同
neither用作代词时表示“两者都不”，可单独使用，用于没有冠词、物主代词、指示代词等限定词修饰的单数名词前，用作主语时，谓语动词用作单数形式，也可以和介词of连用，后接复数名词或人称代词，名词前面一定要有限定词修饰。
either：either作代词时，意为“(二者之中)任何一个”，在句中作主语或宾语，表示单数概念，作主语时谓语动词一般用单数形式，但在否定句中常用复数形式。 both，neither和either的基本意义：
1.Both，neither和either都用来说明两个人或事物。Both指“两个都......”, neither指“两个都不......”, either指两者中任意一个：There are two hotels in the town. Both of them are very good. You could stay at either of them. But neither of them have many rooms.

2. both/neither/either也可以单独使用：

1. both...and...表示“两者都”:

I was both hungry and thirsty when I arrived home.

2. neither...nor...表示“两者都不”:

Neither Rosa nor Lily came to the party.
