Enpowering Children to Choose the one they like
让孩子自己选择他们的所爱
Along with the development of the modern society, the issue of children education has become more and more addressed, especially the argument of whether the children should be educated in various abilities or the special one.
随着社会的不断发展, 教育孩子的问题逐渐被关注,尤其是让孩子多方面发展还是专注于某一个特长.
As far as I am concerned, the combination of the benefits of both should be considered. That is, give the child the opportunity to experience the wonderful world and choose by themself.
就我而言, 结合两者的优点是最佳途径. 即, 让孩子有权利去体验不同的事物,进而自己做出选择.
If the parents strictly order the child to do various things, such as music, drawing, sports, etc., besides the loads of homework from school, the children must be heavily pressurized and the result will likely to be getting nothing but being frustrated again and again. The parents' purpose is good, which is to let their children development perfectly into various direction; however, they ignore the real need of them.
如果父母要求孩子在完成学校要求的沉重的作业的同时还要再各个方面全面发展, 诸如音乐,画画, 体育等, 孩子必定会生活于高压下, 而结果也很可能是无法得到最终的利益, 孩子只会在不断重复的挫败感中生存. 父母的初衷是好的, 但他们忽视了孩子真正的需求.
On the other hands, children under physical and psychological development would like to change on both aspects very fast day by day. Their idea to different new things would also variate in short term. On this basis, if the parents force the children to develop in just one direction and leave all other things behind, they could be very easy to be knowledgeablely less than others, and the result will be bad as well.
另一方面, 处于生理和心理快速生长的孩子每天都在变化. 面对很多新生事物,他们的观点和认知都在快速发生着变化. 在这个基础上, 如果父母强迫孩子只专注于某一方面的发展而忽视其他, 和其他孩子比较,他们很可能会变得知识匮乏, 结果也可能会同样的差.
In sum, giving the children the chance to feel, to see, to view, to experience and to choose by themself will be the most efficient way for parents to carry out their education plan, and the most interesting way for children to come into the wonderful world.
总而言之, 让孩子自己去感受, 去看, 去认知, 去体验, 进而去选择, 从父母的角度而言是教育孩子最有效的方法;而从孩子角度而言, 是让他们进入这个精彩世界最有兴趣的方法.
