All the houses stretching down the street in either direction were brown or beige or off-whites,Yet this one was so bright that it was the center of your attention even if you could only see it out of the corner of your eye .It wourmed its way into your consciousness

最后一句中的wourmed，好象没有这个单词。但大概的意思是：它会沿着自己的路进入你的意识中。
