Abstract:Human motion detection based on computer vision is a frontier research topic and is causing an increasing attention in the field of computer vision research.The wavelet transform is used to sharpen the ambiguous edges in human motion image.The shadow’s effect to the image procesing is also removed. The edge extraction can be succesfully realized.This is an efective method for the research of human motion analysis system .

Many research results on acquiring human gait data based on computer vision have been used widely in some fields,such as remote identification,gait analysis in healing Medicine,design and assembly of prosthesis legs,ergonomics,virtual reality,athletic performance analysis,the content-based image storage and retrieval,etc.Thus,the research on methods to acquire human gait is one of the most important components in human gait analysis and also a frontier research topic.There are two ways to acquire human gait data nowadays,one of them is based on model and the other is on mark point.The background in the experiment is not restricted for the former,but the mark point can not be tracked accurately, but for the latter,the position and motion trajectory of joints can be distinguished and tracked accurately.As a typical human motion analysis system,some marks should stick on the surface of the human body’s tested joints,and a motionless camera is used to shoot the moving bodyand marks on it.Thus,the detection of human motion can be transformed to the record and analysis of the marks on the sequential images.Capturing of human motion image without ambiguity,noise and shadow is very important for accurate identification and track of the marks.For this reason the affect of illegibility and the shadow in the image are removed,and the marks on the moving human body are detected successfully in this paper.
