Liaoning province covers a large area and the climate here varies according to different regions. In the south, it’s cool and humid in winter and it’s hot and rainy in summer, so it is fit for growing paddy here. In the north, it’s cold and dry in winter and hot and rainless in summer, so peasants mainly grow corns here. But some of the regions produce various kinds of fruits, among which Nanguo pear is renowned all over China.
