答案是D。为什么不选C呢？D选项不是有“the price of the price”的嫌疑吗？

这题的考点是比较，比较要做到平行对称，在比较中为避免歧义尽可能补足比较对象和助动词，
首先概括原句，要知道谁和谁比，从原句看出，原意是新药的价格和另一个的价格进行比较，是价格和价格比，把C选项带入原句变成药和价格比，药和价格两个食物没有可比性，这是比较考点的常见错误，再看D选项，带入原句，新药的price和另一种的price（这里用的是what 引导的一个从句来代替price）比较结构平行对称，所以符合。
我上完新东方去考试640后来痛定思痛自己复习700+,做gmat的关键不是新东方所谓的先语法后什么，这是我失败后总结的经验，关键在于句子原来语义的把握以及逻辑的合理性，这是中文没有的，所以要从这方面入手，才可以将语法问题解决。
