It has grown quite a bit. The biggest thing in the near future is the explosion of video. Flash will become the defacto way of delivering video on the web. So many companies are out there delivering video in flash mtv ,abc. Users can have instant on play means play experieces. Another big area is mobile. 10 years from now flash will grow into a wide variety of additional digital interfaces. We have got a polo project where it can take flash capabilities out of the browser and under desktop of the framework. That will allow powerful complex applications expericeces across such platforms as windows or max . It is promising. 3 years from now on it will be the whole area of mobile. That is huge. Phones are becoming more powerful. Broadband is hitting devices. When it hits the critical mass of smart devices with a lot power and band width you would see flash excel on that kind of devices. It extends tv into computer. The way most people start with videos is sit back and watch. What's missing there is make web browsing unique and compelling that is to interact with the content. Web is a delivery medium that gives what you dont have in traditonal experiences. It is successful delivering large volume of content to a lot of people and I cant speculate on what percentage they are delivered. But there are sites that have alareay done very well. google delivering large quantity happens to be useing flash. My space is also using it and is a very popular site. It is all about content. Sites seem to be doing the best as far as delivering the viral video . They have a large base of users and realize content comes first. It is not picking your connection speed or having downloaded a media player. It is about clicking on the play button and video starts playing.Flash is the only technology there pervasive and integrated enough to allow you to do something like that. It makes the content come first.
