What do you do when you want to get in touch with someone you know? Do you sit down to write them a letter ordo you pick up the phone to call them?
A phone call has many advantages over sending a letter, for example. For starters it is more immediate. If you want to send a letter to someone living in a foreign country, you would have to write it and then take it to the post office to see how much the postage would cost. Once you have queued and paid for the stamp, you have to wait for the postal system to get it from your local post office all the way across to the destination country. That could take several days - and of course there is always the chance that it might get lost in route.

2.Traveling gives us direct experiences.It's much more exciting and active than reading.It's necessary for a person to expand his horizon.When you have a chance or enough money and time, you can travel around the world,it will make your life more pleasant and make you have a deep understanding about the people and the world.
But as studens, we don't have enough time and money to travel around;and studying is the most important thing for us to do.So why not read as many books as possible when we are young?This way we can get enough knowledge to serve the people and the society better.Anyway we will have enough chances to travel later.

in my opinion,calling is better than writing.you can exchange views through the talephone very fast.but it the letter,u have to write.this will cost much time.and it will take u a few days to transpot ur letter from one place to another.if u meet some emergencies,calling is the best chioce.for example,if someone is in danger,u can't write to the police station.All in all,calling is better than writing.
