　　When it comes to the topic whether parents’ attitudes toward solving teenage problems are crucial determinants of child personality development, different people might have different ideas. In my point of view, I think that parents can actually play an important part in child rearing and personality development. If parents do a good job in helping out the problems that the children are faced with, they will probably have a better chance of growing up as an independent person that suits the society fine. The reasons go as follows.

Mencius is not only famous for his rich knowledge,but also so the legend that Mencius's mother moved their house three times—from beside a cemetery to beside a marketplace , to finally beside a school—before finding a location that she felt was suitable for his upbringing. Mencius’s mother actually helped to develop his personality, and if the mother didn't care what surroundings Mencius had lived in or what he was doing, there would never have been a Mencius that we respect today. So, As an expression, the idiom refers to the importance of parents’ finding a proper environment for the proper upbringing of children.
　　Very often, we hear of pieces of news that numbers of adults commit suicide or attempt to commit suicide. What these people do not only brings their family sadness but also has a negative impact on society. So many researches have shown that parents’ attitudes toward solving teenage problem have huge influences on their children, which means the way they regard things that have happened to their lives are quite influenced by their parents. So if parents do a good job in solving teenage problems, children will have more confidence when facing problems or challenges.
　　In conclusion, based on the reasons that I discussed above , parents should really pay much attention to finding and solving teenage problems and be a guide to lead their children to go on the right track of life. Thus, children will have a better chance to be a man with independent personality and will be able to face every problem or challenge, instead of trying to escape from it.
