In 1990, the proportion of smokers was almost 28% and it fell to 26% in the year of 1998, which was partly resulting from the number of people who have quit smoking has been increased.

为什么有进行时出来，这个不是延续动词啊，直接which partially resulted from。
from后面的文法有高氏问题，首先，number increase不需要被动，整句两个谓语动词，改扮拆成from the increasing number of the people who (had )quiltted smoking。过完也厅念枣可以，过去式也可以，就是没理由现完啊。

result from为固定短语,表示起因于，造成。类似于一个一个谓语动碧伏词。而was是谓语动词，这样两个谓语动词悔带携放在一起你觉得合行孙适吗？

把result改成过去式，have去除，quit.过去式
