我认为从“for ten years"可以推断出要用完成时，而住在这个废弃的房屋的动作又发生在送到老人院之前，故选B。但答案选的是A。为什么呢？？？？谢谢指教~

A.has been teaching B.was teaching C.taught D.have taught
答案是C。。WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY？！

送到老人院居住是延续到现在的事情，所以住废弃房屋不能够说是过去的过去。lived就是表示过去的一种生活状态。
