firstly,it is of utmost importance to creat a relaxed and cozy Chinese practising environment ,in which you do can improve yourself.secondly,concidering Chinese is a language,you must spare time for reading or writing or just skimming over some Chinese articles .remember stick to it though you are as busy as a bee.
in brief,language is after all a medium of communication.as long as you use it everyday and incorporate it into your daily life,you will make your own way.

Dear Helen,
How's everything with you? I have been preparing hard for the JCEE hard this semester. As I have told you before, those who do well on the exam will have easy access to an ideal university here in Taiwan, so there's quite a keen competition between the examiners. I have also made study plan to review all the subjects in a systematic way. I study at least 3 hours a day, with no other purpose but to get into a good university.
Yet, sometimes I feel low in spirits due to the constant pressures caused by school work. So your letters are a great encouragement for me to go on with my studies. So, write to me as fast as possible.
