小说的前半部分以哈利额头上的伤疤为纽带，暗示了他与伏地魔之间的紧密联系，也预示着哈利的思想随时会被伏地魔操控，从而一些恶的思想也无形地暗藏在哈利的身体里，他们之间相通的心灵使得一些恶念有可能驱使哈利做邪恶的事槽。

The story is set in England. Harry Potter was brought up by his uncle and aunt, because his parents were murdered by Lord Voldemort.He was a wizard, but he did not know until he received a letter form Hogwarts at his 11.Hogwarts is the greatest magic school in the world.Harry‘s parent were also graduated from this school. So Harry goes to the fancy school.
Hogwarts has four apartments and each stands for different character. The first thing Harry should do is to choose a suitable apartment. So the students were put in a Sorting Hat which can made a choice for them. Harry didn’t want to go to Slytherin cause he heard there is no which or wizard who went bad who was not in Slytherin. Although the hat tells him that Slytherin will help him on the way to greatness, he still choose the apartment which stands for justice. In there, Harry makes friends with Ron Wesley and Hermione Granger .And like a ordinary student, he spends most of his time on study. But what he learns is quite different , he learns magic such as Transfiguration Class ,Charms Class ,Defence Against The Dark Arts Class ,Flying Lessons and Potions Class . Harry also takes part in many activities.In addition, Harry and his friends can go to magic village to enjoy their leisure time. They can go to Zonko’s Joke Shop ,Honeydukes ,The Shrieking Shack for fun. But Harry finds that Professor Severus Snape always treats him unfriendly and he often make troubles with Harry. The professor seems to be sick to Harry. In the meantime, Harry finds that Professor Quirrel ,the teach of Defence Against The Dark Arts Class is threatened by Professor Snape,who seems like much of a coward. And Snape has a sever hurt on his foot bited by a three-head dog who is guarding the important stone. Harry and his friend think there must be a big intrigue growing in the peaceful school. Sneap is the key role. So they decide to venture, to do something that can protect their school. The three new fishes has gone through a lot of difficulties to find the truth: Lord Voldemort want to rebirth with the help of the Sorcerer‘s stone,so he let the Quirrel steal the stone. The You-Know-Who attaches on Quirre.In the last, Harry and his friend defeat the monster and protect the stone.
