急求答案！ 英语方面的问题！

请问 the situation that most students choose their university and major depending on their parents should be changed 这个句子有错误吗？我觉得depending 是做非谓语的，但老师说这样用不对。若这个句子真的错了 请详细分析它的错处及可以如何改正。谢了！

没错，因为that most students choose their university and major depending on their parents是一个subordinate clouse(不知道中文是什么），它必须要有一个finitive verb（就是动词前没有to)才能被构成，所以depending 必须换成depend，但是平时说话就没差了

其实怎么翻都很别扭，不过这里的DEPENDING是用错了哦,that 后面应该接语法完整的句子哦

我觉得用DECIDE比DEPEND好哦，如果你想表达学生依赖家长的话可以用students rely on parents to choose universities and majors
