《Men and women are equal at home now.》
In China’s history for thousands of years, women were in a subordinate position not on in society, but also in family. However after the establishment of new China China’s “Marriage Law” explicitly points out "gender equality", since then women’s position in China has significantly enhanced. Now，women have equal opportunities of education, work with men. They no longer rely on men in economy, so their position in family is also enhanced dramatically. On the other hand men in the home also do homework and take care of children, they recognize that women giving birth is hard work, so assume more responsibility for their own family. This really forms the foundation of a harmonic society that President Hu advocates and is one of the greatest achievements since the establishment of new China.

在中国几千年的历史中，妇女不仅在社会上，而且在家庭中都处在从属的地位。可是在新中国成立后，中国的“婚姻法”指出了“男女平等”，从那以后妇女的地位在中国已明显提高。现在妇女与男子有同样的受教育和工作的机会。他们不再在经济上依赖男子，因此她们在家庭中的地位也大大提高了。另一方面，男子在家中也做家务和照顾孩子，他们认识到妇女生育的辛劳，因此为自己的家庭承担起更多的责任。这确实形成了胡锦涛主席倡导的和谐社会的基础，是我国建国以来最伟大的成就之一。

In the past men and women are not equal in the world ,especially at home.Men were supposed the main earner who could go out to work and keep his family while women stayed at home to look after their children and parents.In other words ,women worked inside their house but men outside.
However,everything is changing now. women and men are equal in manyaspects especially at home,Men can also help to do some cleaning and cooking at home in the meanwhile women can work out to do many jobs that can only be done by men in the past.There is nothing that women can not do as men today .

Today, we will talk about the people’s attitude toward boy and girl. In the past, people are more like boy than girl in my hometown. The reason was caused by history, blind faith and knowledge. In the past, people usual worked in farm. Since man is stronger than women, man can yield more food. Now, with the development of technology, woman and man can do the same job, because such jobs depend on person’s brain not muscle. In the past, people wanted a son to support of old age. Now, woman has the same responsibility and ability with man. Woman can also support her patents. In fact, with the growth of economy, our social security is becoming perfect. People need not their children to support of old age. It is true that men and women are equal at home now.
