我不是很确定怎么回答这个(问题)因为也许你说了一些什么,无意中冒犯了她。不过我是这么假设的: 她是一个很幼稚的种族歧视者,不太喜欢中国人。可能只是学校要求他们做一些关于中国文化的作业,所以她只好问一些问题,得到一些答案,并不是自己真的有兴趣了解别的文化。 在我们这个国家,很多高中生大学生都是这样子。 所以,如果他们问 “在中文里这是什么意思?”然后你回答了他们,他们只是好像“OK,谢谢,你可以走开了。其实我不喜欢你,我觉得我比你强”,即使他并不是真的比你优秀。
我不知道到底繁盛了什么,只是这样解释比较说得通。我也不会带入什么个人情绪。 很多美国人,都没有受过什么关于其他文化的教育。我们从小到大都是被灌输“美国是世界上最好的国家”。所以需要一定的开明和智慧,才会超越这个观念,享受学习其他文化的乐趣。
