On 12th May 2008, my hometown Sichuan Wenchuan experienced a major earthquake. Around 2.28pm, I suddenly felt as if everything has started to shake violently, with the ground shaking up and down. Within the terrifying few minutes, Wenchuan has become a wreckage, with the water and electricity supplies cut off. Many either lost their lives or were injured; many were trapped beneath the ruins, death toll reached as high as sixty thousand, tens of thousands of children became orphans, it seemed as if it the apocalypse has come. However, not all hope is lost. The government sent out troops and organised many rescuers. They sent the injured to the hospitals and buried those who passed away. We are currently giving it out best to overcome all kinds of difficulties in order to rebuild our home.
