A. bought B. buying C. to buy 这道答案是a，可能是要和后面的visited 对应吧，可是我不明白后面部分做什么成分呢，只有逗号没有连词可以连接这样的句子吗，不是应该用非谓语的吗
3. The detective finally discovered the lonely house, whose door was half-open, ____ there for a while,and then entered it, only to find the man he was looking for already dead.
A. to stand B. standing C,stood
答案是选c，同上面一题一样，为什么没有连词却不用非谓语呢

为什么选a 呢，有了thus 还要用非谓语吗

1. 关于动词不定式原形，他做若干成分时，任然带有动词的气息，也表达着时态，原形一般表达将来， 要表过去或是完成的， 只能用，他的完成时态， to have done,表现在的，就用进行时态， to be doing. 回到原题， 卫生组织是25前就成立了，已成事实， 所以用完成态，再例，
he is said to have killed a man 10 years ago.此句的时间状语修饰不动态，和主谓语无关。 he is rumored to swim across the strait in a few days.
2.这是几个谓语动词并列的现象，很常见的，还好你的句子他们都有各自的宾语，也有共有宾语的情况，这些动词的动作可能有先后顺序或是同时的(时态一般是一致的，主要是根据所要表达的意思确定了）--- 用and 连接，
也可用or 连接， 表选择。
I was pitched, feathered and ridden along the street. = they pitched, feathered and rode me along the street.
do you want to pick up kids, do the cooking or buy some groceries?
3.c. and 是连词啊， 他可以并列词性相同的任何
4.thus区区一个副词，身份不够，连词才可以同等并列的，

1.如果没有后面的when,确实要选A；但是有了后面的when，那么bacame就作为set up之后的过去时间点，而 twenty- five years ago 就作为整个句子的过去时间点。这是我在选错后自己给自己的解释。。不过你还是要问问老师。
2.这几个动作是连续发生的，就像在讲故事时顺着往下讲，是一般的陈述性语句，所以可以有多个谓语。
3.discovered，stood，entered，也是连续的动作。
4.请注意thus是个副词，并不是个连词。
