To change or Not to Change
I believe Chinese language character is the most artistically beautiful among the other languages. Our intelligent ancestors created the characters from nature's images. Each character has the specific meaning, pronounciation, and more importantly the the figuration or shape. Figuration is the indelable identity for the Characters to last thousands of years, and yet still being legible to the Chinese descendents. This is all because the slowly evolved figuration of characters which enables us to reveal glorious history. And in the practical way of thinking, what is the economic consequence of the figuration changing? Do we remember the Taiwan post company that renamed for Pro-Taiwan Independence, they eventually changed back to the original name. But the little farce tore away them hundred millions of dollars. Imagine in today's populous China, how many people do you think are using those 44 characters per second. If you change the figuration; their books, document, company's name, or even their names have to be changed follow along this unnecessary revolution; and so on the publication, printing industry, Internet information, etc. How much do you think they will disburse for it, just anything you can imagine for the opportunity cost.
