My views of qualified english teacher
After college entrance examination,I chose English Education as my mayor.In fact,it was not my original idea.I just followed my father’s advice.But now,I sincerely want to be a qualified English teacher,especially an excellent English teacher.In my eyes,once one makes a decision,he should try his best to do it well.I’m fond of a saying that we should view our children not as empty bottles to be filled but as candles to be lighted.And I will do what I can to attain this point.
In my opinions,a qualified teacher should possess qualities as follows (at least 20 conditions):
1.Possess ability of mastering emotions:As a teacher,one must not release emotions like anger or sadness on his students,especially in class.It may have bad influence on students and teaching.
2.Behave in a proper way:A teacher shouldn’t do something drastic or abnormal in the presence of students.
3.Have a perfect mastery of his major knowledge:This is the most fundamental.
4.Fluent in speech:If a teacher cannot speak fluently,how he can teach the students clearly.
5.Skillful handing of the class:A qualified teacher should learn to master the whole class,especially when something unexpected happens.
6.Dress neatly:Clothing is a reflection of one’s cultivation and inhesion.
7.Love his motherland:Everyone should learn to love his own country.
8.Love his job:If one loves his job,he will become interested and enthusiastic when working.
9.Love his students;
10.Love his family and friends;
11.Positive attitudes towards life:Everyone should learn to love.
12.Should be healthy:Good health is the fundamentality of our body.
13.Should be patient:Those who have patience can compass anything.
14.Respect the personality of students:The students also need respect,especially the respect from their teachers and parents.
15.Just appraisal of right and wrong:A teacher should be a just and upright man.
16.Good preparations before class:A teacher should do this so that he can master the class density and teaching process.
17.Should be punctual:This is a good quality that everyone should possess.
18.Should be insatiable in learning:There is no end for learning.
19.Should be conscientious and diligent in teaching:Conscience and diligence is necessary for teachers.
20.Communicate with other teachers and students:This can help teachers and students have a better understanding of each other.
21.Should be humorous:Humor can attract students’ attention and stimulate their interest.
22.Keep up with the times:Teaching philosophy and materials of teachers should keep up with the times.
23.Have a positive attitude towards life:Attitude decides everything.
24.Have moral obligation to look after one’s parents:Filial piety tops all virtues.
