请问这里为什么用副词apparently ，而不是形容词apparent，谢谢 。 展开
apparently是副词，副词用来修饰谓语动词was，而apparent是形容词，形容词是不能修饰谓语动词的。
主系表结构，系动词后面如果是形容词的话，该形容词是说明或表示主语的特征或状态。如:
The man is tall. 表示主语是个高个子。
The line is busy . 表示主语线路处于繁忙状态。
系动词后面如果是副词的话，该副词是修饰系动词的。如楼主这句话，就翻译成... 显然是...。
不可以用形容词，形容词是修饰说明主语entry 的。

这句话的结构是一个主系表的句子结构。主语是their entry，系动词was，表语则是apparently后面的部分，从not一直到job这里。所以，这个句子中便不能在系动词was之后再使用形容词了，如果这里不是apparently而是apparent的话，，那么apparent放在was的后面，那它就是句子的表语，这时就出现了语法错误，一个系动词后面不可能跟着两个表语成分，而且这里使用形容词的话句子的语义也就不通了。使用副词，这时候副词可以修饰整个句子，使整个句子的语义更加完整。
咱们先来看apparent，然后再看apparently.

看到了吧，apparent的意思，一个是显而易见的意思，咱们可以说一个事情或者东西是显而易见的。再不就是入在名词前头，表示看起来是正确的但是可能是不正确的。这句话如果写成:Their entry into his flat was apparent，是可以的，就是很明显有人进过他的公寓。但是后边再接的成分，咱们就没法解释了。
咱们再来看apparently。

Apparently, he died of a heart attack. = He died of a heart attack, apparently. = He apparently died of a heart attack. [=it appears that a heart attack caused his death]
这个副词表达的是基于某个事实（大家都知道的事情），然后看起来是正确的。
这样这个句子就好解释了：小偷进入他的公寓，然后有些迹象表明这不是第一次，整个过程是显而易见的，这个时候就需要用apparently.
再从句子结构中分析一下：Their entry into his flat was not the burglars' first job. 这个句子是一个完整的结构，如果你用了apparent，那这个句子结构就不对了，apparent与not the burglars' first job发生了冲突。这个时候用apparently就正好了。
这里的副词： apparently 是修饰系动词 was 而不是做表语。
只有做表语时用形容词。
