唐人街是在达拉斯中区以北的Fitzhugh 路上,那里又称为福州街,大概以福州人为多。从八十年代开始繁华了一阵,曾一度出现了好多家商号和餐馆,同时还有一家电影院。由于地理位置与较为残旧的平民区较近,并不受其他族裔的欢迎。八三年一场大火使那里转为败落。华人店铺开始外迁到现在的李察逊(RICHARDSON)市的Downtown一带,这里聚集了较多的华人中产阶层,周边环境也好,居民区也高尚点。这样一来便满满地衍生出新的”中国城”,目前还在不断扩大。而原来的福州街就被来自东南亚的移民取代而改为贩卖那些地方的杂货店。后来本地人外称为小亚洲(Little Asia)。

Features a small indoor mall plus a large supersized Chinese grocery store called the Asian World Market. The indoor mall includes a bakery, chinese cosmetics store, japanese crepes place, video store, trinkets, etc. The mall clearly has a Chinese slant to it.
