假如你是乔治，收到父母来信告知故乡的村子里发大水，房屋严重毁坏，作为唯一的儿子，你应该立刻赶回家协助度过难关，至少要安排一些房屋的维修事宜，所以希望能从3月23号到27号请假4天。

I would like to know if I could ask a leave of absence from March 23 to 27.This is because I have just received a letter from my parents that says there is a huge flood now in the village, the houses are severely damaged and as the only son, I really need to be back home to help the family through this great disaster, I have to arrange for some reparations for the house, therefore, I sincerely hope to be permitted to go back from March 23rd to March 27th. Dear Mr. John,
I would like to know if I could ask a leave of absence from March 23 to 27. I heard from my parents and they told me some badly news which happened to my family. My village is under a flood which is barely met in 50 years, and the house is seriously destroyed. I am the only child of this remote mountainous village family, and I think it’s my duty to go back home and help my family survive this disaster. At least I can help to organize to rebuild the house. I will appreciate if you can give me a permission to leave, thank you.
