On March 1st,2014, a great attack happened in Kunming, about ten guys from Sinkiang showed up inKunming train station, they took out prepared knifves, hurting people who were just walking around them. This accident is a great tragedy, people are shocked by what the gangsters did, it just happened so suddenly. This accident reminds people of how to protect themselves when attack happens. First, just to run. When we meet the gangster, the first thing is to run, the fast, the better, until you are far away from them. Second, if you don’t have enough time to run, then find a place to hind quickly. The place should be near you, having something to cover, don’t be afraid of the dirty environment, just to hind. Third, if you are caught by the gangsters, don’t fight with them, do as what they told you, only this will you have a chance to get away from them.
When I was a child, I was locked at home by my parents. Because they had their works that they had to do this for me. I really hated being along at that time, no one had talked with me, played with me, had fun just like what all the kids had during their childhood. I had to spend every holiday with myself even my birthday, just because they had to work. I did not understand why and I did not talk with my parents for a while, I was thinking that they tried to abandon me. I held this idea for a long time until I entered high school. Sounds crazy, yes! Even now, every time when I thought back, I felt crazy. Now, I understand that for what they did when I was young, they just had protected me from dangerous and any negative situations that I might have.
My parents had locked me just wanted me be safe. As parents, they try their best to protect their child. As my topic saying while I was taking part in my IELTS exam, different generation has their own suggestion for protecting us. For our parents, they may say something like do not do this, or do not do that directly, which means they help us to figure out from negative to positive. That is what my parents say, even sometime I do not want to accept, but I know they are always right. Talking about people who are at the same age as me, their suggestions for us may like how to deal with boyfriend or girlfriend. For old generation like ours grandparents, they probably teach their grandchildren by telling their own stories and let them to figure out which is useful for protecting themselves.
For ourselves, it is quite hard to have a specific plan or even idea that let us find out how to protect from dangerous. Just like I say, every one has their own ways for protecting form negative influence. Take me as an example. I was cheated by one of my close friends in my college. She had lied to me about just a small thing, I had given her a chance to tell me the truth, but she did not. In return for this, we had no relationship anymore. But I can say I have protected myself from this negative case. There is no more negative influence that I have in my life rather than losing a best friend. From this, I have got one thing. It does not matter if we have influenced by something badly, how much we can learn from those is the matter. Learning everything that we figure out from every single negative situation in our life is the only strong way that we can protect ourselves, then make ourselves more stronger and smarter than before.
