The Spring Festival is a traditional holiday for Chinese. During the festival,people follow traditions passed on from generation to generation.Before the New Year's Eve, every family put up rhymed couplets on the door to express their future wishes. On the New Year's Eve,people gathered aroud to have dumplings and wait for the New Year's bell ring. On the next day, the first day of the year,people pay a visit to each other and wish for a happy new year and children may get money from senior family members.
