Casio used to have its timepiece products all made in Japan but since some ten years ago
some of its lower rank lineups have been manufactured elsewhere. I have had a few Data Bank models (those with o buttoms below the display). The very old
late 89-ish model was made in Japan
but the newer Data Bank 150 acquired in 1998 was made in somewhere. I wasn't aware of Casio's Thailand manufacturing plant back then
so I assume it was made in China (but it could be Malaysia too since Casio has some calculators manufactured there). To determine If the timepiece is made elsewhere
just look at the back casing. If "JAPAN X" is engraved then then the entire timepiece (casing and module) is made in Japan. If only "X" shows up
then it could be made in China
Thailand

most G-shock models are manufactured in Thailand. Even the latest model and (even worse) some radio-controlled models are made in Thailand. Only those top-of-the-line models (G-shock Frogman
Pro-Trek series e) and those involving precision sensor units are probably made in Japan. Hope that helps. 2007-12-05 14:15:07 补充： The "X" in "JAPAN X" is a random alphabet which varies depending on model.
