Chinese New Year is the most important festival in China. It marks the new beginning of the year. It is normally between 20th January and 20th February according to the Chinese Lunar Calendar. New Year is a good beginning. Fireworks are let off at the midnight of the New Year Day, and those bad and unhappy things will disappear, for ever.

There are many stories, traditions and ceremonies about New Year celebrations and they are different from north to south in China. Lion & Dragon Dance together with a special festive marketare are always part of the program to welcome the Chinese New Year.
