1.选A。except后面只能加动词原形，except that后面加从句，except for后面加名词。这里的except同样可以用but to代替。
2.选C.be generally considered to do （普遍认为..)是固定表达，因为发明计算机是个过去已经完成了的动作，所以选to have done的结构。
3.选选B.这里不能被where迷惑,这里不是地点状语从句，反而是个主语从句，因为makes pocket radio缺少主语，所以选which。
4.选A.Margaret肯定已经回家了，for(因为）我们哪也找不到她。B和D项带入解释不通，C项虽然也有由于得意思，不过一般用来引导前置从句，for更合适。
5选C.此题关键是keep in mind后面的从句，因为从句中instruct这个词后缺少宾语，所以用what引导在后面的小分句中做主语.
