There are two kinds of GPA.

The chief way of GPA calculation is based on your overall courses, it means that the whole curriculm should be considered when computing.

And there is another way, in which only the kernel courses, or specialized courses included, to calculate your GPA. This is so-called "major GPA".

The official transcript, generally speaking, calculates the overall GPA.

我这个前辈的经验就是
既然大多数学校都没有明确的算法，那就照本小姐自己的算法哈哈。
我把考得好的选修课算进去，不好的不算。我们学校准许删几科的，所以我就把最不好的必修课删了。祝好运！
