请教宾语从句连接词的问题

I don't know _______(that if)he will come tomorrow.
if是肯定对的 因为把宾语从句看成一个一般疑问句做宾语 但that可以么？怎么理解？
（我是这样想的：主句本身含有问号，所以宾语从句应该是问句 可是有时怎么也用that呢？）我渴望您的解释 非常感谢

that是引导宾语从句的，可以省略，然后if he will come tomorrow表示他明天是否要来，整个句子的意思是我不知道他明天是否要来。

that虽然是可以省略，但在语法上它只是被省略没有写出来，但是分析时是必须要有的

其实这里的if是可以不要的，但意思就变成了我不知道他明天要来。
if并不是一定要引导问句的..

二 种类 :
1 由that引导的宾语从句－－－当从句是陈述句时，用that引导宾语从句．在口语和非正式文体中，that可以省略

2 由whether / if 引导的宾语从句－－－当从句是一般疑问句，选择疑问句或反意疑问句时，用whether / if引导宾语从句,并且要把疑问的语序变为陈述的语序．一般情况下，whether / if可以替换．但下面四种情况，只能用whether引导宾语从句．
He asked me whether / if I liked my job .
I want to know whether / if you'll come to the party .

(A)当句子中出现 or not 时，必须用whether引导宾语从句

(B)当主句的谓语动词是由”动词＋介词”构成的短语时，必须用whether引导宾语从句
