Tipping is expected...and can be costly.
Rats: there are rats on the island...but be assured all tropical islands have rats as a natural inhabitant....i only saw one...and it was in a tree.
Also look out for the fruit bats, they are awesome
Sunset cruise: this is a free excursion for all inclusive customers and was a ahighlight of the holiday....taken out in a boat to see the sunset and dolphins...we saw loads...was brilliant
Spa: use the over water spa, we had a couples massage over looking the see, was breath taking,

lasted 75 mins, massueses were brilliant and you get a bottle of moet to take away....cost $198...expensive (£130) but worth it.
Mozzys....got bit once...but we were out in the water...people with beach villas did seamingly get bit.

Overall, awsome time, brilliant island, average staff....would i go back (yes if it was the only maldivian island...no because there are another 200 to visit)
If you are going and you have the opportunity to pay a little more for a jwv or a water villa...do you wont be dissapointed.

My partner and I, stayed at the Faru for a week in December and spent new year's eve there.

The hotel: Right on the beach. Every single room is a few step away from the sea. The rooms are huge and there is plenty of storage space. Rooms are old and decoration tired but you are in there only to sleep, so should not really bother you!
The shower and toilets are very dated and I have to say I would have liked them to be newer and cleaner but overall did not bother us pass the jetlag! No bad smell whatsoever!

The food: We found the food to be excellent, really good varied choice at every meal and always warm (curries, fish, chicken, vegetables, salads, fruits...anything you want really!)
We read and heard some excellent stuff on the deserts however I have to say I was really disapointed, I did not find the deserts good at all (too sweet, too bland, too creamy...I am really not a fussy eater but really the deserts were not good) so I stuck with their exotic fresh fruits wich were absolutely delicious.

I can not really say anything about alcohol as I am not a big drinker but my partner said their drinks were absolutely fine.

The beach/sea: this was a big dissapointment for me, I have always dreamt of the Maldives with gorgeous beaches, transparent water...not at this hotel! There are only few spots on the island

that I would call fantastic beach/sea (next to the watersport hut, east side of the island), so I would strongly advise you, that if you intend on staying at the resort 24/7 and the beach is important then choose an other island.

时常75分钟，专业的按摩后你可以得到一瓶moet 费用198美元 贵但值得。
Mozzys有一些，但我们当时在水里，在海边别墅的人应该确实遇得到。

总结起来就是，天时地利人和。我会再去一次吗？（会的，印度西南部美丽的岛屿，虽然这里还有200多个其他的岛屿）如果你能花费点金钱在jwv或水中别墅上的话，我保证你不会失望的。

也要小心怪异水果，它们看上去很可怕。
日落巡航：这是面向所有游客的免费项目，是假期中的一个亮点。在船上看看日落和海豚很不错。
SPA：可以做一下免费的SPA。我们做了好多按摩。深呼吸持续了75分钟。按摩师很专业。走时可以带一瓶？？（猜是牛奶）价格是198美元（折合130英镑），很贵，但是值得。
Mozzys(应该是一种热带特有动物 )：被袭击过一次，还好我们是在水面。那些待在沙滩别墅的人经常遭遇到。
总的来说，可怕的时间，有趣的岛屿，普通的岛民…我愿意再回去吗？（当然，如果那是唯一的马尔代夫岛，没有其它另外200个需要访问）
如果你想去，且愿意多付点钱享受一下水上别墅，你将不会失望。

12月我和我的同伴在法鲁岛待了一个星期，并在那里度过了新年前夕。
旅馆：就在沙滩上。每个房间距离海仅几步之遥。房间很大，且拥有足够的储藏空间。房间较旧，装饰让人乏味。不过你在那里只是睡觉，这些不会影响很大。
洗浴和厕所年代很久，我确实希望它们能新点、干净点。不管怎样，这些不会影响我的兴致，而且没有难闻的味道。
食物：食物很不错，每餐种类多样且热乎（咖哩，鱼，鸡肉，蔬菜，色拉，水果…任何你想要的！）我们读到也听说甜品中有一些不错的原料，但我必须说我相当失望。我没发现它的任何优点（太甜，太乏味，太多奶油…我不是一个挑剔的食客，但甜品确实不好）所以我吃了美味的异国水果。
因我不爱喝酒，我没办法评判酒类，不过我的同伴说很不错。
海滩/海洋：对我来说非常失望，我一直梦想马尔代夫有着美丽的沙滩，透明的海水…不是在这家旅馆！岛上只有为数不多的景点，我可以称得上是奇异的沙滩/海（靠近水上运动屋，在岛的东面）。所以我强烈建议，如果你想7月24日待在景区，海滩是很重要的，另外选择一个岛吧。
