However, one got bitten by a bat infected by virus, and the other was bitten by an infected wolf; only the last one lived the rest of his life as a complete human being. The virus that infected her two brothers mutated, causing one to become the ancestor of vampires and the other to become the ancestor of werewolves. The legends of werewolves and vampires began to spread in Europe afterwards.
