其实这两句都是并列句．判断简单句和并列句的标准是看在同一句中有几个主语或谓语．只有一个主语和谓语是简单句，有两个或以上就是并列句或复合句。用并列连词（and,but,so ,therefore,

otherwise,however,or等）连接的句子是并列句，两个句子彼此不做句子成分，分别是完整的单句。He gets into the lift and goes up to the elfth floor有两个主语（后一个相同可以省略）和两个谓语（gets,goes）.
